SusiQ
A Data Acquisition & Event Analyzer for PC system based.
SusiQ System overview
Unlike most commercial acquisition packages, SusiQ is a multi data word
data acquisition and analyzer package. It uses high level language for
acquisition definition and event analysis. This package is based on a PDP
/VAX version SUSI used at a nuclear physics research centre. It is a stand
alone system for PC compatible running MS-DOS. The off-shelf package contains
an executable susiq.exe which can take care of most of the simple detector
test requirements. Setup, acquisition, event analyzer and histogram file
definitions are the necessary files to make SusiQ operational. SusiQ supports
two type of CAMAC hardware interfaces: The KCS 3922 and the DSP 6002 CAMAC
crate controllers.
So, "What can SusiQ do for you ?"...
-
Reads your CAMAC event record on: LAM request, TIME basis, or RANDOM TIME
basis.
-
Processes each event record through an event-by-event analyzer, where conditional
tests based on the content of the record or computed quantities will generate
a test array result.
-
Keeps track of the statistics of these test results for conditional histogram
generation.
-
Saves either raw data or computed data on a storage device (disk file)
for later replay.
-
Saves test results and histogram results on run by run basis.
SusiQ can also display online :
-
Raw data (CAMAC records) on event-by-event or user specified rate.
-
Computed quantities, test results on event-by-event or user specified rate.
-
Test statistical results based on a user conditions.
-
Histograms of a single variable of the raw or computed array gated on user
defined conditions.
-
Dotplot (scatter dotplot) of two variables on user specified condition.
-
Display sample for Efficiencies,raw
data, computed quantities.
-
Display sample fof histograms.
-
Display sample for dotplot
with "box test".
